These three ladies have been on my radar for quite sometime as I admire each and every one of them. They may not get the recognition they so deserve but I feel one day the world will take notice.

Why is she dope? Amanda Diva has come a long way from her Nickelodeon, MTV2 & radio hosting for Satellite Radio days. She is a “starving artist” that’s ready to feed you with paintings, music and her personality. The ultimate Hustler because her Grenadian Roots (in which she has soo much pride) only allows her to go hard!
She has toured with the remaining half of Floetry the “songstress” Marsha Ambrosius. Toured with the likes of Q-Tip, Released her debut album “Life Experience” and follow up EP “Love Experience”, Hosts her Diva Speak TV on youtube, and she updates her twitter (we all love twitter)!
Amanda Diva also creates beautiful works of art and accessories for the Supawoman in you. By the looks of her strong roots and go get em attitude 2009 will definitly be Diva’s year! Recession and all!

Who She Be? Music Video Director/Artist/Blogger/Party Promoter/Clothing Designer (VIOLETTE)/Def Jam Creative Director (?)/Rumored ex-girlfriend of Pharell/Dubbs herself “permanent teenager”.
Why is she dope? 1992 was a fly year for Hip Hop (just wish I was a bit older than 11, to really enjoy the music and culture of Hip Hop at that time). Va$htie may feel the same. She is one half of the party throwing team 1992 in which I am told throws the hottest 90’s party in NYC. One of these days I will hit up Santos on a friday night where she also hosts with the one and only Q-Tip Abstract himself.
Other than throwing extravaganzas, Va$htie is a video director. She has directed several videos for the likes of Kid Cudi and Chrisette Michelle, amongst others. Va$htie also designs clothing for her line VIOLETTE.
I love her blog which are compliations of her life happenings and she is the flyest tom boy around! I predict 2009 will see more success for Va$htie (but I can’t help but to think it will always be 1992 to her!)

Why is she dope? Erika goes her own way with her music. Totally involved with her sound – she gives a refreshing vibe, rock, pop, soul feel to the listener. No one is doing what she is right now and that is a good thing. Unique + Creative = good music. She is on her independent label Infinity Le Monde.
Recently the opening act for her close friend Alicia Keys, I predict 2009 (hard work, dedication and consumer wit) will provide Erika with a wider fan base. If you have never heard her music take a listen, trust you will not be disappointed!
Oh let’s not forget her philanthropic contributions to the Keep a Child Alive Foundation, along with other organizations.
